Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation treatment. Your therapist draws a sterile surgical blade across the skin at a 45-degree angle, skimming off the top layer of dead cells along with the fine vellus hair, the soft “peach fuzz” that sits on the face.
The session itself takes twenty to thirty minutes. There is no downtime: skin can look slightly pink for a few hours, and the full brightness shows over the following days as any redness settles. Make-up sits better afterwards because there is no fluff for foundation to cling to.
Results last around three weeks to a month, because that is how long the skin takes to cycle. Sunscreen matters after treatment, the freshly revealed skin is more sun-sensitive, and an active breakout is a reason to reschedule rather than a reason to attend.
Dermaplaning suits most skin types and pairs well before other treatments. See the dermaplaning page or book a session.
